Hugh Speirs was born in 1994 in a small town of Ngaruawahia on the banks Waikato river. He left school at 15 going into the construction industry as an apprentice.
He became self employed at 18,  got married at 20, and they purchased their first home that year.
They purchased a new home at 23 years of age.
Hugh obtained the first import license to import ten pin bowling equipment to New Zealand and built the first Bowling center in New Zealand in 1986.
He then built his second bowling center in 1990, and then an  Ice hockey rink flowed  with a third bowing center in Auckland .
He then spent 10 years in court trying to get paid for the sale of the third bowling center in Auckland.
He then opened a carpet and vinyl shop which he still retains today. Hugh and his wife Marie have 5  Children 2 girls and 3 boys, 8 grandchildren with 2 great grandsons .Hugh was diagnosed with advance cancer grade 4 in  July 2021. He is doing fine and cancer free.
